Bet Awards 2016: Wizkid, Yemi Alade Nominated For “Best International Act”

Wizkid and Yemi Alade have been nominated for Best International Act Africa at the upcoming BET Awards 2016, where is Davido?.

This makes it the third time the Starboy is nominated in the category while it marks the second time Yemi is nominated.
Wizkid was joint winner with Ghana’s Sarkodie in July 2012 in a keenly contested category which featured nominations from fellow Nigerian, Ice Prince; Camp Mulla (Kenya); Lira (South Africa); and Mokobe (Mali).
Other nominees for this year 2016 Best International Act Africa include Diamond Platinumz, Cassper Nyovest, AKA amongst others.

Both Wizkid and Yemi Alade failed to win the award last year 2015 amidst a controversial snub of the show arguing they were disrespected by the BET organisers for presenting the African artistes their awards backstage.
The pair lost out to Ghana’s dancehall artiste Stonebwoy.

Canadian singer Drake leads the pack with nine nods, Beyonceand Rihanna get five nominations while Adele surprisingly gets a nomination.
